Mohamad Anwar Danishyar is son of Abdul Hussain, born in 1995 in Nangarhar province. He graduated from Tajrobawe High school in 2014. After finishing the school he continued studies of Pashto Language Literature at Ghazni University. Now he is still studying at Ghazni University.
Danishyar was interested in journalism already at school, and he attended his first Journalism Course in 2012 at Shaiq Media Center. He started his work as reporter from this center. After that he had short term courses in Mediothek Afghanistan and Nai supporting Afghanistan open media.
In 2013 he worked with a National Radio by the name of Ineekas. From 2014 till the end of 2015 he worked as reporter to Mitra TV and Rah Farda TV in eastern provinces of Afghanistan.
Danishyar has a special interest in photojournalism. At the end of 2014 he attended ten-day workshop on Photojournalism in Jalalabad and one month workshop in Kabul which was supported by the Organization of Development, Study and Peace.
Now he is working as freelance photojournalist and his main focus is the life and conditions of the poor people in Nangarhar. He is making a picture story about the drug addicts too. Danishyar has worked on different issues including news stories for Associated Press News Agency during the two last years and now he collaborates with Associated Press as well. His pictures have been published in such newspapers as New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Guardian and Telegraph. He had also photo exhibitions in Afghanistan and Canada.
